Trying to do a search on a board merged from phpbb to mybb gets me this:

Quote:Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /bb/showthread.php could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

How to replicate:

Do a search, click on thread title.
Do a search, click on thread page number (IF multiple pages in thread)

How NOT to get problem:
Do a search, click on 'last post' link next to author name on right side of page/table.

All proper files are there - physically checked.
Is this possibly a server error?
This does not do this on any of my boards.
Forum URL?
I don't see how this is going to help you but http://ai-jane.org/bb
Works fine for me.
I cannot replicate this. What browser are you using?
Might only occur when user is logged in. Regardless, it doesn't happen to me either.
Can you give us a test account?
It's happening to logged in users.

Mac > Firefox

Windows Opera as far as I know.

As far as a test account goes, I'll ask the board owner and then let you know.
LET ME CORRECT THIS!

OK I logged out of this board and tested as a guest. It does return the error but after playing around a little I see it's a certain phrase that is only doing this. I can search individual words with good results but when the phrase Obama's Marxist Past goes in, the error happens.

Waiting on the admin to give permission for this test account and I'll pm with then.

Please don't go judging politics of others on this - I'm just trying to help with his board.
I FIGURED IT OUT!

It's the apostrophe in the search term! Take out the apostrophe and the search works all the way around.

Possible bug?

FYI - I can only do this on that particular board. It does not error on my boards.
Do you still need test accounts? still waiting for owner permission anyway.
Anyone?

FYI - did a plugin on / off test and it still does this with using an apostrophe in search terms.
I swapped out the showthread.php file with a new one. No change.

It's only happening on this board. I cannot replicate it on my own sites.
It is not a logged in only issue. I've done it as a guest and logged in.
It does it on both windows and mac.

Full text search and standard search settings gives the same result when using an apostrophe.

Does anyone still need a test account?
^ OFF TOPIC : " Does anyone still need a test account? "
--> asking like this might not solve the issue !!

as a guest, I searched with Man's AND "Old Man's War" & got results for both ..
