I installed the recent
myshoutbox , do I have to add something?
deactivate / uninstall that AND remove all files related to the above .. install this :
myshoutbox 1.6
I already did that.
I have another shoutbox but i want to keep it until i finish to edit it. Is it possible the compability from it? It's the shout that you have to add

Yes, you can keep both. I don't think they have the same function names, nor are the files named the same, so you'll be fine.

For one, have you added the {myshoutbox} variable to the templates?
everytime you take a new template you have to place {myshoutbox} in your index of your template after the {$header} and before {$forums} if you like to have the shout at the top of your forum
