Let's try this again... I was told to post here because I merged an old database with my current forum. Then again, I was told not to come here because it has nothing to do with the merge system. I'm just hoping someone finally knows what they're talking about.
When I go into a forum section and click a thread I get redirected back to the forum section that the thread is in.
How do I fix this?
Screenshot Explanation:
Hmm, alright...lifescircle.info
For some reason, all links to threads are showing as the current URL. Can you please post your forumdisplay_thread template here?
try using another theme !!
@ranjani - I tried using all my other installed templates but the problem still exists on all of them.
Here is my forumdisplay_thread file:
<tr>
<td align="center" class="{$bgcolor}{$thread_type_class}" width="2%"><img src="{$theme['imgdir']}/{$folder}.gif" alt="{$folder_label}" title="{$folder_label}" /></td>
<td align="center" class="{$bgcolor}{$thread_type_class}" width="2%">{$icon}</td>
<td class="{$bgcolor}{$thread_type_class}">
{$attachment_count}
<div>
<span>{$prefix} {$gotounread}{$thread['threadprefix']}<a href="{$thread['tlink']}" class="{$inline_edit_class} {$new_class}" id="tid_{$inline_edit_tid}">{$stprf}{$clprf}{$clclr}{$stclr}{$str1}{$thread['subject']}{$str2}{$stimg}{$clclr2}{$stclr2}{$climg}</a>{$thread['multipage']}</span>
<div class="author smalltext">{$thread['profilelink']}</div>
</div>
</td>
<td align="center" class="{$bgcolor}{$thread_type_class}"><a href="javascript:MyBB.whoPosted({$thread['tid']});">{$thread['replies']}</a>{$unapproved_posts}</td>
<td align="center" class="{$bgcolor}{$thread_type_class}">{$thread['views']}</td>
{$rating}
<td class="{$bgcolor}{$thread_type_class}" style="white-space: nowrap; text-align: right;">
<span class="lastpost smalltext">{$lastpostdate} {$lastposttime}<br />
<a href="{$thread['lastpostlink']}">{$lang->lastpost}</a>: {$lastposterlink}</span>
</td>
{$modbit}
</tr>
There is a typo in the code, leading to the wrong page. Replace it with this:
<tr>
<td align="center" class="{$bgcolor}{$thread_type_class}" width="2%"><img src="{$theme['imgdir']}/{$folder}.gif" alt="{$folder_label}" title="{$folder_label}" /></td>
<td align="center" class="{$bgcolor}{$thread_type_class}" width="2%">{$icon}</td>
<td class="{$bgcolor}{$thread_type_class}">
{$attachment_count}
<div>
<span>{$prefix} {$gotounread}{$thread['threadprefix']}<a href="{$thread['threadlink']}" class="{$inline_edit_class} {$new_class}" id="tid_{$inline_edit_tid}">{$stprf}{$clprf}{$clclr}{$stclr}{$str1}{$thread['subject']}{$str2}{$stimg}{$clclr2}{$stclr2}{$climg}</a>{$thread['multipage']}</span>
<div class="author smalltext">{$thread['profilelink']}</div>
</div>
</td>
<td align="center" class="{$bgcolor}{$thread_type_class}"><a href="javascript:MyBB.whoPosted({$thread['tid']});">{$thread['replies']}</a>{$unapproved_posts}</td>
<td align="center" class="{$bgcolor}{$thread_type_class}">{$thread['views']}</td>
{$rating}
<td class="{$bgcolor}{$thread_type_class}" style="white-space: nowrap; text-align: right;">
<span class="lastpost smalltext">{$lastpostdate} {$lastposttime}<br />
<a href="{$thread['lastpostlink']}">{$lang->lastpost}</a>: {$lastposterlink}</span>
</td>
{$modbit}
</tr>
Thanks! That fixed it, but now the thread display looks like this:
Do I just erase all of the instances of the following:

EDIT: Yep, that fixed it. Thank you.
Disable Codepress in the Admin CP preferences and copy the code again. Although removing all instances of will work, you'll probably experience more issues in the future. So it's best to disable it.
And yes, this wasn't from the merge system. Moving to general support
