Copied /forum and database from one server to another.
New /forum opened same as original, except when tried to login (as admin), it said login was successfull, but then did not show me as logged in (still says 'hello there, guest'), and not able to get to CP.
For old (non admin) user, get same results.
Havent tried new registration, because needs admin activation.
What am missing ?

Is there any way to print the entire thread, 28 pages, in one document to make it more easily read/searchable ?
This forum doesnt seem to have a 'printable version' option, but may be missing something ?

Thanks much for the direction.
1st page worked.
Server address is a bit complicated, still using server provider address while setting up site before start using domain name.
So took a while (for this beginner) to figure out, but finally got all the inc/settings.php domain>cookie>etc addresses (dots) figured out.
After that if worked fine.
