What I'd like made, if possible, is a log of every IP Address that stops at my website, so I could see which IPs first visited when, and if they joined later on or not? I think that it would be helpful to gauge interest in forums.

Use Google Analytics mate, it's much easier.

If you use cPanel hosting, in Awstats inside it, there are every visitor's IP addresses logged.
