Atachments on Privates Messages

What you think about of this?

Bad idea, because private messages are not viewable by moderators, and members could send warez and porn and stuff.

Isn't that what forwarding the PMs to a staff member is for? That's a PermaBan-able offense on my forums if you were to ever send crap like that over the PM system as its sexual harassment if porn is even remotely involved.

If it was sent deliberately from one person to another person, both knowing what they were doing, I don't think the recipient would forward it to a staff member

If you afraid to receive a porn image or warez, of anyway without atachments on Privates messages, you can receive a link with these contents

I think than this can be customizable from admin panel, if the admin wish or not atachments on Privates Messages

Yeah, but that's different, in my opinion. The content is never hosted on your server, and it doesn't use your disk space or bandwidth.

MyBB is a bulletin board application... the private messaging is a secondary feature. It doesn't need its own attachment feature.

I think it's a good suggestion as long as it's permissable in the admincp and turned off be default.

Point taken Dennis. Alternatively, because I have PM Admin installed the recipient could always drop me a PM and ask me to read the suspect message.

In most cases where I want to send a file privately without using the post attachments, I use a little thing called "email"...you should try it sometime

Luckily we have the private messages admin.
