I think MyBB should allow you to input a URL as the plugin guid, so plugin-makers can make the plugin version-check from their own servers, but also have the option to use the GUID from mods.mybb.com. Just a small, but nice update that i think a lot of people would find useful.
Another thing that would be nice is multiple 'browse plugin' pages. so people can setup their own repositories of plugins and give out the link, and anyone can add the link to their MyBB AdminCP and view the plugin databases.
