Incorrect. This is the 2.0 suggestion forum. jQuery is used anf confirmed in 2.0. But in 1.6 you are correct. Instead, in 1.6 prototype is used but not supported by mybb.
Just because jQuery isn't included in 1.6 does not mean you can't use it...
