Is there any way to start my database afresh? I have heaps of old plugins that I was messing around with and the settings are still there. Who knows what else could be in the database?

I'd just like to transfer the essentials to a new, fresh database. So the threads, plugins, posts, users, etc. How could this be done?

If you just want to get rid of old settings you can edit settings groups and get rid of them in the ACP.

However to clear out the DB: (This is untested. I am not to be held liable for any errors.)

Download backups of:

mybb_posts
mybb_threads
mybb_polls
mybb_users
mybb_forums
mybb_settings

Go to your install folder and click to install a new version of MyBB.

Upload the downloaded tables.

ONCE AGAIN, THIS IS UNTESTED.

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Download an entire backup or test on a localhost first!
