Neither my avatar for my username nor any of the images that I have attached and inserted into the post are appearing. Where the prompt for insertion was located there is a vertical white line about 5px wide indicative that something is there but it's not the picture.

This is on the Infopedia page of the web site www.stampcointrader.com.

This is a major problem. Without being to insert pictures easily the forum become unsuitable for its task.

Could you please advise ASAP as the site is live.

I have attempted to insert one of the images here on your site to check that it is a problem with my forum settings and not my computer.

The images your uploading are just attachments, you're better off uploading them to your own server or on an image hosting site. Then inserting the image via [img] tags.

Have you CHMOD attachments to 777 ?

When I try to view the image it gives me a text file.

How or where do I check for the settings for the CHMOD attachments to see if they are not set to 777 ?

in general, attachments are stored in /uploads folder on the web server
