Hello i use to own a forum which i got a back up off i got a back up of the mybb database but not the files.
if i download mybb and changed the config to the old databse would it work ?
because im scared because i do not have the style no more which would be stored in the db ? has the default style ? so if i uploaded a new a new mybb i wouldn't have the default style which is in the database so would get loads of errors ?

Or would it be better to just instal a new mybb then copy the tables over ? for the cats and posts ? maybe that would be the best ?
If i have to copy the old db into the new one what columns would i have to copy ???

The old plugin,themes will not work.
But the Threads, Post, users and other default from mybb would still be OK.

Yer that is what i thought. Also i have plugging's in the old db which i haven't got any more.
Which columns should i copy over ?

I have copyed the old db over and run a upgrade in side install/upgrade.pgp and all works fine now thanks
