I cannot seem to find any themes that are compatible with the new mybb version. All of them don't work properly for example, the images don't load.

That's not a problem with the themes. It's a problem with how you've uploaded them. If no themes are working, then it's not just a coincidence.

Have you checked that you've uploaded the images to the correct directory??
