that I am not aware of?

This is the 3rd install of MyBB that I have done and this particular installation has been nothing short of a disaster.

I currently have 1 forum that runs flawlessly at http://bransonmo65616.com/forum Absolutely perfect

Then I have a 2nd at http://tablerocksound.com/forum and it too is flawless. Login in, posting, creating forums etc. No problem

Then yesterday I installed MyBB on a 3rd site of mine and like I said, it has been a 100% disaster. http://mrhermancain.com/forum

To start with, everything I have tried in the world will not let me login into the admin panel under IE9. (Remember, I am already using MyBB on 2 other sites with no problem) Finally had to login to the admin panel through Firefox.

I don't have anything against Firefox, it's just that 99% of the rest of the world uses IE. Problem 1.

Next problem. I have created the forums on my new site, but every single thing I have tried keeps bringing me back to square one. From the forums page, every single forum I click gives me and other people a 100% blank page.

As I have had extraordinary great luck using MyBB in the past I cannot for the love of me figure out why this one is blowing up in my face so badly.

Please help.

You need to rename .htaccess in your root directory to htaccess.txt

Okay, I renamed the file to htaccess.txt (I made sure the "." was removed from the beginning and I still have the same problem with both issues.

(Cannot login on IE9 and all forums come up blank)

Just so I am clear out here - I have looked over the directory and have actually 3 htaccess files.

1 is in the root of mrhermancain.com and is the one that I changed. It's path would show as http://mrhermancain.com/htaccess.txt

The 2nd and 3rd are in the forum folder. I have 1 that is .htaccess and 1 that is htaccess.txt

I did nothing with either of these.

Is all this correct?

Delete the .htaccess in the forum folder.

That get's me the forums now - so one problem removed.

Still cannot login to the site in IE9. Firefox, no problem. But an absolute no go with IE9. Really odd because I am able to LI just fine on my other 2 sites.

So did I get a corrupt install from Host Gator and need to reinstall?

There have been several people coming to my site and no one is registering (makes sense since no one can use IE9)

I have fallen off to the 3rd page now and really need some advice on this.

Still have the same issue. Virtually no one can login to my site with IE but have no problem with Firefox. I need IE because everyone uses IE at this moment in time.

If find it especially odd since I am using the same laptop as I have used on the other 2 forums I setup and admin on, yet nothing works when I try to logon to my site. The only thing that is different is the other 2 are 1.6.3 and this is 1.6.4

If this is all the situation requires would it be possible to get 1.6.3 from someone here on the forum?
