Hi everyone,

I'm currently hosting my MyBB forum with byethost.
I purchased a domain name with GoDaddy, and I want to use this domain name with Byethost,

How do I do this?

I went to domain names (sub domains) in byethost cpanel and it only allows me to check for domain names or purchase through them.

This isn't related to MyBB. You need to contact them about it.

They have step by step guides on GoDaddy for how to update the DNS (Domain Name Servers) to point from byethost to your new domain name. Just keep searching the site or post on their support forums.

You need to go into your Godaddy Domain panel, and find the domain. Then, edit the nameservers to be whatever Byethosts are, contact them..
I'd assume:

ns1.byethost.com
ns2.byethost.com

I can only guess, as I've never used them.


Then add the domain (your domain) into the parked domain section in your Byethost cpanel. You may need to wait 24-48 hours.


After that you're done.
