if you backup and ever have to restore that backup, most of your admins lose thier permissions (except the original admin)

its wierd becoz it doesnt always occur

Well, I'd figure that in the backup the admins wouldn't have permission to do so

I'm confused. If you use phpMyAdmin to backup, it should backup whatever's in mybb_adminoptions, which includes all the admin permission settings...

Please explain further.
