how do i fix that scroll all the way to the top

If what you want is: when someone clicks the link it takes them to the top then you should use:

http://www.the4gnation.com/showthread.php?tid=3

instead of:

http://www.the4gnation.com/showthread.php?tid=3&pid=7#pid7

Or if you want them to go straight to OP:
