Sorry couldn't think of what to put as the title as i dont know what the name is that i am having a problem with.
As you can see in the picture for some reason i have a "1" before were it says "new thread" does anyone know how i can get rid of this?
Dont think it should be like this should it?
That should actually read "New Posts". Did you happen to change it in the language file or the template?
The string is defined in forumdisplay.lang.php under $l['new_thread']
The string is called in the Forum Display Templates>forumdisplay_threadlist template
<dd><img src="{$theme['imgdir']}/newfolder.gif" alt="{$lang->new_thread}" title="{$lang->new_thread}" /> {$lang->new_thread}</dd>
Check those.
Thanks for your reply.
Yeah that is exactly how it is :/ Do you know what the problem could be?
It's saying that there's one new post. You want to just show "New Posts" without telling the user how many there are?

As the support team said, it is not suppose to say new thread. And it shouldn't have 1 by it anyway, that is just a legend to tell users what the symbols stand for.

Did you check the language variable and the template that I mentioned above?

Yeah tried both instructions but could not see a "1" anywhere there :/
So should it be exactly <dd><img src="{$theme['imgdir']}/newfolder.gif" alt="{$lang->new_thread}" title="{$lang->new_thread}" /> {$lang->new_thread}</dd> or is that what it should be if it is wrong?
Oh just noticed when i right click on the image next to it it, it says
"alternative text - 1 new thread"
Would that have anything to do with the problem?
Any help to rectify this problem would be appreciated.
Why are you making me repeat myself again and again :p
Did you check the language file?
