Basically I made a category with a forum and then with sub-forums. But you can still post in the forum section how do I remove that?

Here is an example:

you mean disable posting in the mother forum and keep the posting enabled in the sub-forums??

ACP > Under Forum Gaming > Settings > Disable Posting Threads/Post

yes I mean to disable posting in the mother forum but keep posting in the sub sections.
