I'm looking for a very good host for a medium size forum, (over 100 members and visitors at once), I don't want a slow website... Does anyone know such host?
100 people on at once? You would need at least a VPS but probably a dedicated imo.
Are you able to set up a server your self or would you need it to be managed?

I think I can't afford paying a VPS...
But if you have a good and not-expensive VPS I'd go for it, I need it to be managed
I know that there are some good hosts our there I just can't find the best of them, they all promise things that are not true at all!
shared hosting won't be able to handle it though. Even the best will probably limit your database connection to about 50 while somewhere in the 20s is about average across the industry.
For shared hosts though I can recommend the following.

But, again I think they are going to ask you to upgrade pretty quickly.

Seriously? It's an OK for me, I can pay up to 15$ per month for a managed VPS (or cPanel VPS)

vps are now available from 3$ too , well you will say this also a scamm
