Hi
When I started Mybb forums, I didn't install any anti-spam plugin. As a result, my forum was bombarded with spam comments
I deleted all spam comments from the database but still the Titles of those Spam messages are seen on my forum's HOmepage and Category pages
Can anybody pls suggest the ways to delete those spam posts along with Spam-Users names on these pages as well.

use recount & rebuild tools available at tools & maintenance section ...
That's a lot of spam right there. Revamp your forum and do a fresh re-install heh

Thanks I did that but on Category page, still can see page number supto 100+ but those posts do not exist
Anything else need to do to remove deleted pagenumbers also from Category pages as in here

do you remember how you removed the spam posts from database ?
it appears that the threads titles still exist in threads table of the database ...
Be sure to delete the posts from mybb_threads as well.
It's all around better not to delete posts, users, and threads from the DB. Use MyBB's built in functions.

Just one issue left I think.
On Homepage, the stats is wrong
1. total count is showing wrong
2. In technology --> Mobile Phone, last post is showing 'Mobile (Cell) Phone App?' , which is a deleted post
Just dont know how to reset HomePage stats

I have installed Akismet, Fassim Anti Spam, Stop forum spam
Are these enough or do I need some other customizations also?
Pls if u cud suggest as I dont want any more spams (Users and posts)

now it is showing " Posts: 210 ; Threads: 147 " - so it should be alright ;
and above referred last post issue also appears to be resolved ...
