I've searched high and low and I can't find out how to add advertisements to each page, sort of like a banner.

Any help is appreciated.

The header template will be the best.

If not, you can try the '1.9 Ads after first post 1.5' plugin/modification.

And where is the this header stored??

I am assuming it is within the forum folder somewhere

Its a theme

admin > Templates > Modify / Delete > The templates your using > Expand > header
