Hi, I made an attempt to see some of the pages of my forum that are indexed in Google by searching my domain name.

I was surprised to see that tens of the pages were calendar p-ages that have nothing to offer.

I'm confused. Does this negatively affect my seo or does it help (to have hundreds of pages indexed even when they are almost the same?

Here's the forum Kenyan Forums: Discussions that Matter to Kenyans

It is a young forum.

Thanks and kind regards.
Google SEO plugin has a sample robots.txt file ;
use it for your forum to disallow search engines crawling to certain pages ...
Hi, thanks. I'm using Google seo but I don't see any sample robots.txt in it. are you saying I should exclude these calenday pages from robots' access?
Thanks a bunch. I've uploaded,

But look, I've tested it in Google webmasters and the urls in the Google index such as http://saykenya.com/ ...Calendar-default-calendar are still allowed! (Allowed by line 34: Allow: /)

I've even tried to insert Disallow the calendar url above to no avail.
Oh, but bless my soul! for the newbies like myself, note that you have to remove the /MYBB/... I had thought it was necessary even when i rum my forum on the main domain. So here is the Robots.txt that works::

http://saykenya.com/robots.txt
" note that you have to remove the /MYBB/.. " <-- this was suggested at the referred post linked above ...
