How is it possible for my site to be closed and members are logging in and posting?

I'm moving to a new hosting company and I KNOW the site isn't propagated yet as I've done a traceroute and it hits the old host still.

I had the board closed for half an hour and then this person logs in and replies to a thread.

You just answered your own question there?

There must be two versions of your site depending on where the users are. Is the old board closed, or both.

if the site isn't propagated to the new server yet, how can they post?

Don't matter now. All sites are already propagated and the old one is gone.

They'll just have to repost.

Its' weird. I never had this happen moving a site. Oh well. It's done.
