How to move the shoutbox to one side (like a sidebar) instead of the horizontal arrangement... Pls help...I know i've to edit the templates....Can anyone give a detailed procedure???

you can use table on index template to arrange shoutbox as you like ;
below is just for example ...

<table>
<tr><td>
<-- index content -->
</td>
<td>
<-- shout box -->
</td></tr>
</table> 

Id be tempted to use Divs instead of tables.

and just move the shoutbox variable to the right div tag.
(Its collapsable too )
