I just purchased this and soem other stuff, and want to know what the big deal is with the duel cores, what are they equivelent to single cores?
I think they have higher processing power then single core processors.

But I really have no idea. =/
I think it means the processor can execute more than one instruction at the same time. That would make the processor roughly twice as powerful.

I could be wrong though.
i have had a little difference in multitasking

You wont unless you're running two processes that need a lot of processing power. You should notice a better improvement if you were to do something like encode a video and play a game at the same time.
dual core = 2 cpu in 1
whats core duo then?
same tech, its just a differant name
Most software isnt optimized for dual-core processing at the moment. But it'll do you good if you do run a bunch of tasks at the same time.
Right - You can only take advantage of a program using aduel core proccessor if its multithreaded OR, you can say run UT2004 on one proccessor and everything else on your other proccessor.

Next up is Quad Core! (4 proccessors)
