Damn Fine Shave (DFS) is a site dedicated to the art of wet shaving. We offer advice, opinions, and links to the wonders of using a brush, a mug of shaving soap, and a razor that might be either your grandparent's or just off the assembly line.
The site is open to both men and women so we hope you will take a look and join us. You may just find that a step back in time to old-fashioned wet shaving offers better results than today's multi-blade razors and canned foam.

Straight razors are great. They're far more effective than a safety razor when used with the right brush and soap

I agree. in fact, some companies - most notably gillette - are even bringing back some old styles in their modern shaving heads. Their newest blade - the fusion proglide - features a micro comb like a lot of the old, traditional razors had.
I wouldn't be surprised if companies starting producing DE and SE razors again, maybe even straight razors too.
I'm relatively new to traditional shaving, but I do hope to try a straight out someday!
I personally like the schick injectors A LOT.

I go about 7-10 days between shaves and use a schick injector that uses a SE (single edge) blade and it does just fine.
