I have a password protected forum: http://zingor.net/forum/ only staff and alpha testers know the pass. But I want to give bots access so I can get some decent google rankings, anyway I can make them bypass it?

I think google webmaster tools has some privileged option for bots.

It's not possible. The auth is there to prevent any unauthorized users.

Plus, users could just view your site via the Google cached page.

A piratical answer like that makes me wonder why how I got as far as I did. You most likely just prevented a regret.

Im not really bothered about that, it would take someone really determined to get a sneak peak to do that. Im sure if I added a script to the bot file it would work somehow?
