Full Version: ACP set for post moderation, spammer posted without ?

ACP 'Edit Forum/Moderation Option's are set for 'moderate' all (posts, threads, etc).

Spammer posted without going through 'approval' process.

No indication, that I could find, for how it was done.

Is there another setting needed ?

Also, is there a way to set this option without needing to edit each forum settings ?

Place to look for help with above questions ?

Thank you for the followup !
Attached is scrnshot of settings am using.
Also, just found one forum that had not checked settings, and that may have been the forum that was spammed, forgot to keep record. Sad
Also, just got an Akismet 'key' and added to settings, so that may help ?
Not sure how to tell if actually working/activated, but guess will find out sooner or later.
Also, the last part of the main question... "Also, is there a way to set this option without needing to edit each forum settings ?" ...is there a place to make the moderation requirement a default setting for all forums without needing to edit each forum settings (ie, above scrnshot) separately ?
Thanks again for the reply.

Thanks again for your help !
Sounds like that plugin (per attached scrnshot) may be the answer to being able to more easily add moderation to forums etc.
Assume just add the plugin file 'reqapproval.php' to /forum/inc/plugins/ (same directory with 'akismet.php') and should become available at ACP ?

first try rebuilding cache for forum permissions & check if your moderation settings start working ..
admin panel --> tools & maintenance --> cache manager --> forum permissions --> rebuild cache

Rebuild done, not sure if know if makes any difference, but having done all that can (per suggestions etc), assume just wait and see... will deal with as needed ?

Also, interesting, just got email from Akismet that I didnt pay enough for the service... did lowest rate for personal forum setup, but guess not enough.
Oh well, guess will just see how normal ACP setups work b4 go back to Akismet for more ?
Wonder if there are any like plugins that work as well or better ?

Assume can still try 'reqapproval.php' plugin without screwing up anything else ?

Thanks again for your help !
