I think when adding a theme there should be the option of which groups can use the theme. And have like default for xxx group.
Already is core in 1.6, I'm assuming it'd be in 2.0 as well.

Thread ratings are fairly trivial, it's not a feature, as currently it does nothing. Thread icons I'm a little sad about to be honest.

I'm just being picky. When you are forced to use an icon, and it's a nice one, it lights up the forum view.
Oh balls, thread icons aren't being included?
I'm not a fan of thread rating either, so I think its a good idea. Thread icons I think aren't necessary either, a plugin can do that or perhaps even thread prefixes could handle it.
