I've installed MyBB on my localhost (WAMP).
In the root is my Wordpress installation, in the subdirecty /forum resides MYbb. (http://localhost/forum).
Installation went fine, installed other theme, even a plugin.
Configured around 20 forum (in 3 categories).
Now, when I click on a forum to post a forum message, I end up at a 404 page (of wordpress)..

Why? Everything else works 100%. Only not opening a forum.
For example http://localhost/forum/forum-8.html
Sounds like a .htaccess problem. have you enabled the MyBB SEF URLs? If so, disable them.
you enabled SEO in MyBB but did not update/add the required lines to your .htaccess
The SEF are idd the issue.. (everything works with deactivating sef)

I merged the .htaccess file of mybb with the .htaccess (root folder) of wordpress..; but still the same problem.

Any suggestions?
