Hi,
Well I have been having some very slow website loading over the past 3 days, so I finally decided to look into it. The problem turns out, that one or a couple users have linked their avatar, from a very slow loading website. This makes the browser wait forever to load their avatar from the external URL, before it loads the rest of the page, therefore making my website look slow.
My question is: Is it possible to only allow avatar uploads and block avatar URLS?

Ok, found out a way to hide it at least, not disable it. Obscurity over security!
Go to: Admin CP >> templates & Styles >> Expand your template set >> Expand User Control Panel Templates >> Edit usercp_avatar
From in there, remove the avatar URL code and save it.
