Hi,

I will like to find out on the number of concurrent users and response time expected for myBB 1.6.4 implementation on a window server.

The server is HP DL380 with dual core CPU and 2GB RAM, OS is Win 2003 R3 Std Ed SP 2, running Apache 2.2.17 (xampp setup).

Appreciate any advice or sharing on this. Thanks.

Hi, it depends on the hits or visits you get on your forum. If you've a root server or VPS which you could control, you can set the limit accordingly. Look for a variable named max_active_connections or max_concurrent_users and define there. If you're on shared host, the limit isn't very high, and if you get the error max limit reached frequently, you could ask your host to increase it or move to a better server or a VPS.

It's a windows server. Or do I need to tweek the apache server? Thks.
