Just make sure you use the merge svn, not the board svn.

Ok, see when installing MyBB do I make a new database or use the database that IPB is on?

That isn't much information. You'll need to be more specific. This is a beta, and a few modules are known not to work.
Do you install myBB first before running the merge system?
