I already tried searching but didn't find any helpful info. Is there any way to change the mysql database password after the forum is installed? I was able to do it via FTP in config.php but then the forum doesn't work. I tried to find something in the forum's admin cp but to no avail. I'm using cPanel and looked around in mysql and phpmyadmin but no luck.
In Cpanel, go to "MySQL Databases" and scroll down to "Users"

Add a new user (or delete current one and recreate) with the new password.

Then add that new user to the database where your forum is stored.

Next go to the config.php and edit the password stored in there.
Thanks a bunch Dr. Poodle, it worked. For anyone else doing this, you of course have to change to the newly created user as well as the password in config.php. I know it's obvious but just in case someone goes step by step they might miss it.

Thanks again.Cool
