I found several files newly updated after the 1.6.5 public release.
Can I upload them to my live forum, overwriting the old files ?

Some of the updates are, fixed announcement issue. forum rules.

Of course you can, but we don't support your forum if you're using the SVN version - we only support released versions. If you desperately need them, then use it.

Oh, and some fixes require updates to templates. I'd skip those ones. Only modify code if you know what you're doing.
