a big thread of 2000+ posts deleted in my forum by an smod.....so how can i restore it????
Only way you can is if you have a backup. If you have a backup goto your phpMyAdmin and then click "import" and select your file. Otherwise, this is impossible

Nope, MyBB doesn't keep posts when they're deleted.
It's not rare for your host to have a backup, it's just a matter of them be willing to give it to you for free. :p Might as well ask them.
You could also have installed Undo Delete plugin formerly which restores any deleted threads, posts, polls and such things.
Backup is a most important thing for a webmaster. Its just like heart for him.
