I want to upgrade the PHP of my Mybb hosting to 5.3 and my current MyBB version is :1.6.3.

Now if I simply change to PHP 5.3 will there be any issues for my MyBB installation?

MyBB works fine with PHP 5.3. I use it both on my local host and my servers, with no issues at all.

You should be fine. I use 5.3 over localhost.

Yes, I've been usng 5.3.x for a long time now without issues (since the TYPE= became ENGINE= was fixed.
