Is there a way to install MBB on my computer to get it set up the way I would like before I get back form my extended vacation in the middle east I would like to have everything ready to upload when I get home from my deployment.

You can install a local server (e.g. XAMPP) to run MyBB on your local computer.

thank you i am downloading it now and can play untill my hearts content.

You have to copy the MyBB files into the folder called "htdocs". You can find that folder in the xampp installation folder. After starting xampp you can open your browser pointing to http://localhost/.

i am all the way into the database configuration and i have
Database Engine MySQL
Database Host localhost
Database Username ??
Database Password ??
Database name ??
Table Prefix mybb
how do i get the answers for my ??
it says i can get it form my host but I cant find it int he link that was provided

Database Username: root
Database Password: none (leave empty)
Database Name: The name of the database you created. You can create a new database using phpmyadmin (http://localhost/phpmyadmin/).
