I got it. here is my how to:

Quote:1.login phpmyadmin,upload your forum database.
2.find the table named: mybb_threads
3.change the subject's type: varchar(80) =>varchar(new size).

but, a new problem again, pls see my attached image:
the subject seemed can not encode chinese character correctly. my questions are:
1. It's a mybb system problem or phpmydamin configuration problem
2. Does this will effect on my forum search engine

If it shows up on the forum OK, then it's just the way it's being viewed in phpMyAdmin. I believe it will affect the speed of the search in some way.
