My sleepy little forum averages 100 views a day and about 2 members a week.

However, over the past 7 days, I've had close to 50 (spam) members join and I've already banned 10+ of them. What in the world is going on? I've never had issues like this. Are they getting around the spam-bot?

Any suggestions?

Note that some of the above plugins are already included in MyBB 1.6.5, so you don't need to install them.

Get Aksimet. It's free if it's for personal use. It stops ALL spam. If you can't get Aksimet, another option is to have the user's password emailed to them. Some spammers will still get through but, it brings it down dramatically.
