I need to disable the caching on the new install because it conflicts with hosts caching. Does anyone know how to do this?
Go to Admin CP > Configuration > Settings > Server and Optimization Options > Send No Cache Headers > Yes.
If that's the caching you're referring to.

not sure about the conflict ! if you want to disable browser cache then browse to admin panel -->
configuration --> settings --> Server and Optimization Options --> Send No Cache Headers <-- select yes
