So I'm back with my retarded questions, anyways I just started a new forum but the logo won't change even though I overwrite the file with the new one.
I've replaced the logo.gif file in documentations, inc, etc in filezilla but it still shows the default mybb logo.
Please help
Go to the ACP, Themes & Templates, find your theme and change the logo URL there.
Then also make sure (through filezilla), that your new logo has been uploaded, which will be in your:
images/YOURTHEME/logo.png or whatever it is.

What do you mean by change URL? You mean the file path? Cause that's the like only thing I can edit there...
Look at attachment which is found at:
ACP >> Templates & Style Themes >> Your Theme
yes path make sure it is exact location of logo file
go to folder called images images in main directory with ftp
see if you find file called logo and replace it with your file
make sure your logo is same file type .png or .gif of file you replace
if that dont work you should give your url it would help
