I'm very confused as I am having spam posted by guests even though I have turned off posting for any non-registered guest.

I made it so that you must register to post and this pretty much took care of the spammers who were registering and posting, but now I have regular posts from guests that are spam and I don't understand what the vulnerability is coming from.

I am running 1.6.4 of myBB

Check to make sure that your forum permissions also deny guests to post.

you know what - I thought I had this already totally checked but didn't realize that there was a place for each forum. One of my forums was allowing guest postings and I hadn't seen this. Thanks so much.
