In the upgrade.html file under the Documentation folder when I downloaded MyBB 1.6.5, it says the following:

Quote:Using an ftp client (FlashFXP, FileZilla, SmartFTP), upload the contents of the 'Upload' directory to the directory in which you have a previous version of MyBB installed, with the exception of uploading of the following file:
./inc/settings.php

It's the setting.php part that perturbs me, as the MyBB Wiki doesn't mention this; the inconsistency in the two sets of instructions has me wondering what I should do. XD Should I indeed skip uploading the settings.php file, or do I need to upload it?

Thanks,
Shadow
There's no need to upload it, but it _shouldn't_ cause any problems. In case is does, you can simply delete it on your installation as it's just a cache of the settings in the database and will be regenerated. Smile
That's good to know! Smile Thank you very much for your response.
