Need help to get my hacked forum back online.

My forum was hacked as well - in the begining of july. Unfortunately I have not have the time do anything about it untill now.

Now I am very anxious to find out how much is destroyed. Basically it looks like most of the posts where deleted


I've looked at the update instructions, but I am unsure which version I am runing. Right after I was hacked I closed the forum - and now I can not get in myself, even to check the version.

How do I do this?

Login into your admincp (forum dir/admin) and check your version.

Yes I want to do this - but since I closed the forum I have not been able to log in... I feel a bit stupid, as I am sure it is easy enough, but could you tell me exactly how to do it?

Even when the forum is closed, you can append /admin/ to the URL and it will load the Admin CP and let you login.

For example:

http://www.example.com/forums/

Becomes:

http://www.example.com/forums/admin/

You should still be able to login.
