I was ready to email the host and thought that I would completely deleate the forums from server, unzip files again, reupload forum to server, reset everything all over again.
It worked.

I guess it did, I had reuploaded twice before but not sure why it worked this time, didn't do anything different, lol. Third time's the charm.

i have had occasions when for some reason the files had corrupted when i downloaded them from the site so they were always giving errors but a fresh download and upload fixed that.
don't know why it should be so but i guess it must happen.
