Thanks Fabio, its good but the icons are huge and is there a way to show the buttons higher up in the post bit between the + and EDIT / REPLY buttons or even in the post box?

The buttons are just there by default. You are encouraged to use your own.
You can easily move the box around, but if you want to display it between the post bit buttons you might be better off using something like AddThis. Even then I wouldn't recommend it, because the sharing buttons would get repeated every post and it would be very confusing.

I've installed the plugin and added smaller sharing icons, is there anyway to get rid of the red box and move the icons to the top left (far left of the reply button) like in the image attached
