I am not a fan of the combined table holding announcements and then stickies and then normal threads. I'd much prefer to see announcements as a separate table in the default theme for 2.0.
I know it is not difficult to do in 1.x, but I think it looks much more professional to have them independent. I have already modified my sites to do this. you can see an example at http://www.pavementsucks.com/board/forum...-Build-Ups
It also removes the empty columns (rating, moderation, views, replies).
Just some more stuff to think about before finalizing the default layout.
