I wont to allow guests the option to post and yes can do all that but cannot work out how to pre-moderate them first, is there an option for this?

simple method :
allow guests posting in a single forum (can be off-topic forum / Lounge) and make all posts to go to moderation ..
related setting is available at forum settings (forum management --> Edit Forum (Edit Forum Settings) -->
Additional Forum Options --> Moderation Options <-- check all options here

I'll leave it then, I wanted it for the general forum but without the pre-moderation I wont risk it
