How do you get the bots to work like when you look at who's online, they would be included in it?

Do you mean that you want them to show in who's online? Because search engines like Google are shown in there. And spambots are listed as guests. So...?

That exactly what I mean.
Okay... Well Google, Yahoo, Bing, and Baidu (among others) show up there by default.
So, I don't see what you are wanting to change... Is there a specific bot that does not have its name there that you want shown?
When I am on my index page, I never see Google on the who's online part, but when I visit other people's forums, I notice that they are there. So did I forget to do something?
You need to submit your site to Google so they crawl it. It is the only way to let them know you exist!

Click the first result, log in to a google account (might wanna create a site-specific one), and then add in your url.
